01|31|05 REMEMBER WHEN COMPUTERS WERE THE SIZE OF ROOMS?
The original post I had written here was filled with mindless rambling about all the upgrades I've been making to the master computer at Nerfect Worldwide headquarters, and how it was partially inspired by a recent viewing of Colosus: The Forbin Project. It was boring and uber-geeky, so I decided I'd to open with something else. Granted, this thing you're reading right now is just as lame, so let's move on.
Worried about my lack of soda consumption, and thus as a result BOTTLE CAP PORTRAITS, I made a serious effort to redeem myself. You can check out the results in the BOTTLE CAP PORTRAITS gallery.
I've also continued with my goal of drawing a picture everday for a year for my 4x6x365 project. I'm really enjoying it so far, and look forward to pulling the thing off come year's end. You can check out the latest drawings in their gallery.
As for the other weekly features, there is a brand-spanking new LINK OF THE WEEK and PICTURE OF THE WEEK up for your enjoyment, so go check them out. Peace out, later skater and stuff!
01|23|05 SNOW TIME LIKE THE PRESENT
We knew it was coming. We finally had the first big snow fall of the season here in the midwest. Sure it has snowed before, but not this much and for that long continuously. We were pretty much snowed in Saturday, but managed to dig out Sunday to run a few errands.
Being snowed in gave me a lot of time to catch up on some reading, attend to some computer repairs and allowed me the time to work on art. I wrapped up another week of drawings for the 4x6x365 gallery. Please go see them, they'd love the company.
As for other updates, I've added a cap to the BOTTLE CAP PORTRAITS and a CD package I did a while back to my PORTFOLIO. Of course I've also updated the LINK OF THE WEEK and PICTURE OF THE WEEK. What would the weekly updates be without them?
That is it for now. Enjoy the updates and keep on rockin' out!
01|17|05 SWEET UPDATES
I've dropped a new batch of drawings into the 4x6x365 gallery. So far the process is going rather well. I'm really looking forward to the end result.
Talking about dropping, I've also thrown a few more BOTTLE CAP PORTRAITS into their gallery. Why not check them out? Come on, all the other kids are doing it.
The LINK OF THE WEEK and PICTURE OF THE WEEK have also been updated. By the way, kind of related to the LINK OF THE WEEK, during my weekly surfing I came across a post for Nerfect on PCL Link Dump, which is an excellent blog for those of you art and design lovers out there who also enjoy funky old records. I've been checking it out for a while and it has become on of my favorites. It was a real pleasure to see Nerfect listed on it.
Finally, from the Maybe Only Interesting to Me Department, I caught an episode of MadTV this past weekend in which Jon "Napoleon Dynamite" Heder guest-starred. In his sketch he played the leader of a high school mathematics team from Berwyn, Illinois... The home town of Nerfect Worldwide! This once again proves that Berwyn Rules!
01|10|05 WHIPPED UPDATES AND OTHER DISTRACTIONS
What happens when Mr. Walters is handed 365 4" x 6" pieces of paper? Why he crafts a drawing a day for an entire year, that is what! Well, that is the plan anyway. Check out his progress in the 4x6x365 gallery section, and come by each week to check out the latest batches of drawings.
Talking about "latest", don't miss the other latest updates on the site. Yes Virginia, of course I mean the LINK OF THE WEEK and PICTURE OF THE WEEK.
Finally, a clarification. I commented that Rufus Thomas IS so funky in my last entry. Of course many of you know that Mr. Thomas passed away, and at first it might seem that I should have said he WAS so funky. The point was that his work, which is eternal, IS perpetually funky. Thank you.
01|03|05 RUFUS THOMAS NEVER DID THE FUNKY UPDATE LIKE ME!
Okay, well, maybe he did. Dang, Rufus is so funky! He probably hacks code with the best of them without knowing it... He is just that funky. Can you tell I've been listening to Rufus Thomas all day? Anyway, here is a thing I like to call the funky update. Shake your arms like this and dig the crazy LINK OF THE WEEK and PICTURE OF THE WEEK. Now that wasn't so bad, was it?
