01 | 30 | 06 > UP, UP AND UPDATES IN MY BEAUTIFUL, MY BEAUTIFUL WEBSITE

Yeah, I'd hate me too for that awful headline. My career in journalism is over even before it started. I would totally understand if you never want to visit this website ever again. I can see it now, that headline will be Nerfect.com's cousin Oliver. People will be like, "Oh, I used to go to that Mr. Walters' website every week to check out the latest updates, but then then there was that awful headline... Dead common it was. Not only did it ruin his website for me, but it ruined a perfectly fine pop song, too."

I'm an awful human being, but an awful human being who was able to update his website just as easy as it was to write that dreadful headline. Hopefully my latest editions to the 4x6x365 '06 series will help to smooth out this rough patch in our relationship. Here, let's forget those foul words and take a look at the first drawing in the latest batch. Yes, this drawing right here.

You should probably also review the newest Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week. Please do it for me... Well, me before all the ugliness.

| 23 | 06 > WHY DON'T YOU GO TO HELMET?

Greetings and salutations comrades! Things have been rather busy around here, but I have managed to make the weekly updates. We have some really doozies this week if I may say so myself.

Recently, I finished up painting a couple of surplus army helmets. You can check out the results in the refurbished Recent Paintings section, now known as Painted Miscellanea. I've done a helmet with a rabbit with a mustache and the one seen above. More are on the way... Well, as long as I can keep digging them up. Steel helmets often end up as scrap as the military world moves to kevlar.

I've also been keeping up with my 4x6x365 '06 project, something that has finally gotten this site posted on the illustration blog, Drawn! It's a real treat because Drawn! is one of those sites I check out everyday myself to discover new artists. You can see this week's batch, starting with this one.

If that wasn't enough, I've also updated the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week. How do I pull all this off weekly?

01 | 16 | 06 > TICK TOCK TOCK AND THE UPDATES JUST DON'T STOP

As you can see from the over-exposed image above, I have crafted a dandy of a new art object. You can check it out in the most ironically titled section of this website, Recent Paintings. Even though I am constantly making things, it is very rare for this section to be updated. Also, some might argue that even though I use paint from time to time that doesn't make me a painter. I might have to change the name of that section one of these days.

This past holiday season the wife and I had a special button made for our cards. Now that the holidays are long gone, we can now offer the surplus buttons to you, the general public. Dig the two newest buttons in the Nerfect Button Shop and get them while it is still winter.

Banjos were made for pickin' and 4” x 6” pieces of paper are for drawing pictures on each and every day. Another week has passed and another batch of 4x6x365 drawings have been added to the gallery. Start groovin' on the latest ones right here.

Finally, what would a new week be without the updating of the dynamic duo? Of course, I am talking about the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week. They are new and updated just for you.

| 09 | 06 > THE UPDATES STRIKE BACK

One of my many chronic quirks is that when I have something creative to do (i.e. write a brief statement about this week's updates) and things are just not coming out right, I begin to notice other things that need doing and often end up running off to iron some shirts or rearrange the Nerfect employee lounge notice board. I guess it could be worse, I could get a little blocked and start taking pills or watching Darma and Greg. I'm sure it is a small part of a larger problem.

It is not like I totally lack the creative drive or have no talent. Okay, the later is up for debate, but seriously people, I update this website every week, and with my own material. The thing is, like everyone, I get stumped from time to time. That is in part why I started the 4x6x365 project last year. Making it a rule to draw a picture each and every day really kept my juices flowing. It was really good for me. That is why I decided to keep up with it. Speaking of which, you can check out the latest batch of drawings starting here.

I've also updated the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week. I might not have anything witty to say here this week, but I take care of my peeps with delicious content. At the end of the day, isn't that all that matters? I think so.

| 02 | 06 > MR. WALTERS' PREDICTIONS FOR AUGHT SIX!

Large, fake mustaches will be all the rage... Even with the ladies (Sexy!) Say goodbye to barbarian boots and scaves worn all the dang time... This year top hats, spats, and nothing (yowza-yowza) else will be savory "new" look! Pop music will change forever with the introduction of a new form of street music called "Poot-Poot-Chugga-Chugga-Woot-Yeah!" Several "top" groups will be releasing albums in this new genre in the next couple months, not on CD or as MP3s, but on wax cylinders. Be brainy and keep your internet dial tuned to Nerfect for the latest "stuff." Talking about the latest "stuff", let's see what has been updated on this very website.

Well, the first series of the 4x6x365 project has reached its natural end. Check out the last drawings of 2005 starting here, and make sure to check out the first drawing of the new 2006 series here. Part of me can't believe I actually pulled this all off, and I'm surprised of how easily I added this task into my daily routine. I can't imagine not contiunuing on with this project, so you folks get at least another year of these drawings. I hope you don't mind.

This Monday, I have also updated the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week. Please make sure you check those features out too this week.
