01 | 27 | 10 > ALMOST ALL CAUGHT UP

I usually don't have that much downtime. There is always something that needs to be done and I seem to keep pretty busy, but since last Wednesday I've been super busy. Things have been scheduled so tight that I wasn't quite sure if I was going to be able to get the updates done in time.

Then the oddest thing happened, everything seemed to line up just right and I begun to wrap things up. It is a strange feeling. Moving on, let's see what is new this week.

First off, it is a pleasure to announce that my wares can now be found at Logan Square's Wolfbait & B-girls. If you're in that neck of the woods, make sure to stop by and check out this cool shop.

I've also been trying to spread the word about the Uncle Fun Doll Art Show on Saturday, February 13 from 4 to 7pm, not just because I'll have a piece in it, but that it promises to be a really fantastic event at one of my favorite places in Chicago... Heck, I'd go so far as to say, the world!

By the way, if you are artsy, you still have a little time to drop by Uncle Fun for your own doll to decorate and return between February 1 and 10. The dolls are going to be affordably priced, so it is a good way to add some funky art to your collection.

My work is still up for a little while over at Swim Cafe, so if you haven't seen it, you should stop by and get a bite and check it out. Every dish I've had there is a work of art onto itself, even the peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Aside from all that, I've been trying my best to keep up the daily drawings for my 4x6x365(MMX) project. It has been a bit tricky at times over the last seven days, but I managed to swing it. You can check out the results, starting with this little doodle.

Now for all you Picture of The Week and Link of The Wee fans out there, I've also managed to update these features. Please enjoy them at a leisurely pace when you have the time.

Well, that is pretty much it for now. Take care of yourself. We'll meet up here next week.

| 20 | 10 > I'M WITH UPDATES

Right off this week, I want to thank everyone who has come out to see my work at Swim Cafe, so far. I really appreciate the opportunity to show my work to a larger audience, and I can't thank those of you enough, who made a special trip over to see the pieces. I'm really happy with how everything worked out.

If you haven't made it over to Swim Cafe to see the work and want to, you still have time. My work will be up for the rest of January and a wee bit into February. Swim has good food and drink, so please make a time of it while you're there, too.

Next, I'm happy to announce that I have new drawings for you from my 4x6x365(MMX) series. They keep my hands busy and yours truly of the streets, so that has to count for something. You can see all the new doodles, starting with this one right here, lucky number thirteen.

I've also updated the Picture of The Week and Link of The Week, so enjoy those with gusto when you can. Everything is better with gusto don't you know.

Well, that is it for now. See you next week.

| 13 | 10 > 5-4-3-2-UPDATE!

Okay, so here is the deal. Jesy Grose and myself, Mr. Walters, will have art on the walls of Swim Cafe beginning THIS FRIDAY, January, 15! There is going to be an opening get-together from 6 to 8 that Friday night and we love for y'all to come out and join us. You can enjoy some fine artwork, ingest libations, nibble num nums, and heck, you could run across the street for a quick swim if you like! This Friday, find yourself at Swim Cafe, located at 1357 West Chicago Avenue in Chicago.

If you can't make it, well, that is a real shame, but you can have a sneaky peek at some of the work that might be in it, as well as other work I've been doing lately up on my Flickr Photostream.

I've also placed a few more pieces up in my Etsy shop. As I've been kicking out the last few pieces for the Swim Cafe show, I've polished up a few other items that are now up for sale. I've got a lot of nice things, which would make great gifts for Valentines... Hint hint.

As for what I've updated on this website, I start off with the popular daily drawings, which go by the handle 4x6x365(MMX) this time around, and which I post here every Wednesday. Want to see new ones? Then, why not check out the first of the latest seven drawings? Seriously, go check it out.

It probably won't surprise you that my latest Picture of The Week has something to do with the exhibition at Swim. Getting ready for it has meant a bit too much time stuck in the studio thinking of very little else.

Also, even though I haven't had a lot of real free time lately to goof around online, I have managed to put a new Link of The Week up for your enjoyment.

Well, that is about it for now. Please come out to see the work at Swim Cafe if you can, and besides that, I hope you have a good rest of the week. See you next Wednesday.

| 07 | 10 > ART SHOW CALLED ON COUNT OF SNOW

This just in from the Nerfect News Bereau, the opening get-together has been moved to Friday, January 15 at Swim Cafe due to the sketchy weather over the next couple days. It will still run from 6-8pm and there will still be wacky beverages and assorted nibbles, and with an extra week, I might add a few extra surprises. See you next Friday at Swim, which is located at 1357 West Chicago Avenue.

| 06 | 10 > IF YOU'RE IN CHICAGO, HERE IS WHAT YOU'RE DOING THIS FRIDAY

It is official, there IS going to be an opening get-together this Friday, January 8 at Swim Cafe. It runs from 6-8pm and there will be wacky beverages and assorted nibbles, so come on out if you can. Again, Swim is located at 1357 West Chicago Avenue.

| 06 | 10 > HERE WE GO AGAIN!

Well, here we are in the very futuristic 2010. It's a new year, so full of glorious potential, and I've spent most of it rearranging a few things in the Nerfect Worldwide North American Archives. Not exactly the exciting future I had in my youthful mind of boyhood, but you make do with what you got.

I've also been collecting work together for an exhibition I'm hanging this Thursday evening at Swim Cafe in Chicago. I'm sharing the walls with tree-climbing artist, Jesy Grose, and the thought was that we were all going to get together Friday night for an opening party of sorts. Check back here before Friday, for more details.

Even if you can't make it out Friday night, I invite you to come check out the work while it's up. Swim Cafe is located at 1357 West Chicago Avenue, across the street from the Ida Crown Natatorium in Eckhart Park.

In other news, we recently got in a new supply of Diabolical Hot Dog with switchblade stickers. This time around we printed them on clear vinyl and they look pretty sharp. You should probably get one, or twenty... Whatever.

As one year ends and another begins, so do the daily drawing series. You can see all the new drawings, starting with the last couple in the 4x6x365 '09 series, and moving into the new 4x6x365 (MMX) group.

I have also posted the first Picture of The Week and Link of The Week of this new year. When you have a couple moments go check them out.

Finally, before I sign off, I'd like to draw your attention again to the collection of original artwork I have up for sale on my Etsy store. As I tidy up the Archive, I will probably be putting a few more pieces up from time to time, so keep checking back.

That is all for now. Have a great rest of the week. Until next time, keep it Nerfect, y'all.
