06|28|04 PARTIAL RECOVERY, PARTIAL UPDATES

The week of staying off my bad knee has paid off, but not as much as I would have liked. I've been able to walk around without too much pain and am using only one crutch now for the support, but there still is a fair amount of pain and sitting in chairs is still difficult. I've tried to catch up on some work and do some drawing, but there are a limited number of positions I can get into these days. Thus, I can only offer a partial update this week.

While I try to catch up on some work, please view a new PICTURE OF THE WEEK. I will try to make up for the lack of new comics very soon, but I'm offering a new icon set, Nixelated in the Desktop Icons section to fill the void. Regular visitors will recognize the Nixelated characters from here.

Finally, while I was laid up, the new Nerfect buttons featuring Boom Bunny came in.

06|21|04 WHAT, NO UPDATE?

Sad, but true, there won't be weekly updates this week. Friday morning I had an accident in the yard and seriously messed up my knee. Since a trip to the emergency room, I've been in a leg brace and hobbling around on crutches. Every little task these days is a delitful compination of pain and awkwardness. Sitting in chairs and trying to use the old computer for long periods of time are extremely difficult for me. After a trip to my doctor and a week of treatment should get the old knee back in shape and I can return to my regular routine, including the udpate of this site.

06|14|04 THE BEAT GOES ON

Well, the comic is off at the printers and I've had a few good nights of sleep. Granted, I'm still pretty busy, but not as busy as early last week. To celebrate the lifting of a 96-page weight of my shoulders, I rented the quinessential, British heist film, The Italian Job. What a great film... Too bad Hollywood keeps on taking dumps on making remakes of my favorite movies. What is the deal with the Manchurian Candidate remake? It's all enough to make me want to fly out to Hollywood with a pick axe handle and start swinging. Anyway, I'm feeling much better now.

While I am revising my "no rants" policy, you should take the time and scope out the COMIC OF THE WEEK and PICTURE OF THE WEEK.

06|07|04 RE: THOSE UPDATES YOU REQUESTED

It has been another busy week for Mr. Walters, and the next few days seem just as nutty. I must admit that I am getting a bit fuzzy in the head from the constant motion and lack of solid sleep. What, you may ask, am I so busy with these days?

One thing, that will soon be off to the printer, is the new Caveman Robot comic book. Those of you out there that don't know about Caveman Robot should visit his website. Anyway, it is no feather weight production. At 96 pages it is a thick volume of comic goodness. I'm laying the thing out and I will have a few stories in it as well. It should be out in July, just in time for its debut at the San Diego International Comic Convention... Which yours truly will be helping out at, so swing by the Caveman Robot table and say hello. Oh yeah, and buy some comics.

Also, DEPART-ment went really well, and I sold some of my RECENT PAINTINGS. There is another event in September, and I'll probably put a few things in that one. The paintings that didn't sell will probably go up on Ebay sometime when I'm not doing a dozen things at once. I should have a better idea about it next week, but if there is one you like, send me an e-mail and make an offer.

Not everything was work, work, work this past week. I did catch a few minutes of recreational web-surfing, and discovered that one of my entries into the Project Button peace project now graces the home page. Mine is the one with the nice cloud on it. I have a couple left to give away, and if you'd like one, please send me a s.a.s.e. First come, first serve people, but late comers will get a dandy Nerfect button and sticker for their trouble.

Finally, what would the new week be without the COMIC OF THE WEEK and PICTURE OF THE WEEK?
