07 | 31 | 06 > I'VE EATEN TOO MUCH CANDY
It's true. I have eaten too much candy. Out of shear boredom I have finished off sucker after sucker today, and now I'm having a hard time focusing on what I have to do. Why am I sharing this with anyone who stumbles across this website? Why should anyone really care? I don't know. Here is what I do know. Today is the day I get back on schedule with my weekly updates.
First off, as usual, I've brought my 4x6x365 '06 series up to date. You can browse the first of the latest edition here, and if you want to see all the ones I did after I took off for the big comic con in San Diego, well, those are right here.
Next, I've updated the classic Picture of The Week and Link of The Week. Okay, so using the word ?classic? might be pushing it, but I have been doing these for a while and that must account for something.
Finally, please check out the Button Shop, which has been updated. A couple new designs have joined the ranks and a couple older designs have been improved.
Ding! Well, there goes my attention span, so I'm going to take off. See you next time.
07 | 27 | 06 > BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
I'm going to be honest with you all here, I am wiped out. Con was good, but exhausting, and throw in travel and a new job, and you can see why I am a tad fuzzy these days. With this in mind, I hope you excuse this shorter than usual update brief. Speaking of updates, here is what is new:
1. I have passed the two hundred drawing mark in my 4x6x365 '06 series, and you can check out the latest batch starting here.
2. The Picture of The Week is totally updated.
3. The Link of The Week has also been served up.
I'll try to be a bit more thorough on Monday.
07 | 17 | 06 > SO FULL OF NEWS, MUST LOOSEN BELT
There is so much going on, I'm not quite sure where to start really. Well, let's take a stab at it.
First off, I have a new job. I'll be starting the day after I get back from comic con. I wasn't actively looking or a new gig, but things just seemed to just fall into place, and it is a great opportunity to do some great work. I'll tell you all more about it as things move along.
Of course this means I had to resign from my current post, which was a tough decision to make. I work with a good crew and it will miss seeing them every workday. The move to the new gig has nothing to do with anyone I work with or the work I was doing for the company, it is all about the chance to work on new projects and focus on package work.
In other news, I am happy to announce that the ultra-cool shop Fly Bird in Oak Park, Illinois now carries a healthy stock of Nerfect stickers and buttons. If you're in the Chicago area and a design fan, you need to drop by and check Fly Bird out.
As regular visitors to this site will know, I will be at the San Diego International Comic Convention this week. If you'll be there please stop by the Caveman Robot booth (#1221) and say hello. I'll be there in support of the Caveman Robot books, which I have work in, and I'll be pushing my own Tales of The Danged! #142 book and various other Nerfect wares.
Because I'll be on the west coast, away from the Nerfect mainframe, the next weekly update might be slightly delayed. I'll try to get everything updated as soon as can, but those of you Monday morning visitors should find something else to do the next one.
Now for this week's updates, we start out with my 4x6x365 '06 project. For some reason I had a hard time keeping the daily drawings up this week, but I did get them done. I just had to double up on a couple days. You can this week's batch starting here.
I have also updated my Picture of The Week and Link of The Week. Well, with all that said and done, I am going to try to get some rest. Something tells me this week is going to be extra exhausting.
07 | 10 | 06 > UPDATES MADE OF STONE-AH
The last few days we've been entertaining and housing some guests (family included) who have come to town to see the King Tut exhibit at the Field Museum and to visit with us. It's been fun, we've had some great meals, and seen some sights, but it has been a little bit exhausting here and there. Mostly in preparation for the visit and getting the house in order.
I, Mr. Walters, also have the 2006 San Diego International Comic Convention coming up in less than ten days. If you're coming out to the show, please make sure to stop by booth 1221 and say hello. I'll be there in support of the new Caveman Robot comic, Caveman Robot: Tales of Myth, Monsters, Mirrors, and Madmen!, as well as my own brand spanking new release, Tales of The Danged! #142. Also at the table this year is Joe Infurnari with his new book Mandala. Of course you can learn more about all of this at the Caveman Robot blog.
Now of course you all know that you don't have to be at the convention to get my new book. You can preorder it here. I will however be there in the flesh to sign and write naughty things on books, and to awkwardly answer your questions. That alone is totally worth the price of admission.
Okay, I know what you're thinking. You are happy to read all this, but you are here for the sweet, sweet updates. Now who am I to let you kids down?
As usual, I have once again updated my collection of 4x6x365 '06 drawings. Can no one stop me? You can look at the latest set beginning with last Monday's drawing.
The Picture of The Week and Link of The Week have also been updated, so feel free to enjoy those regular features as well.
07 | 03 | 06 > THE DAY HAS ARRIVED
I guess the biggest news this week is that my new comic, Tales of The Danged! #142 has finally arrived. Technically, it won't make its official debut until July 19 at preview night at the 2006 San Diego International Comic Convention, but I have set things up, so that you kids could preorder the thing right now. I can't really spill any of the jucier details right now, but trust me on this one, it's got some really savory treats in it, and those of you who order it online will get special bonus goodies!
Even with all the last-minute hulabaloo with the book, I have been able to keep up with my 4x6x365 '06 drawings. You can see this past week's batch starting with this one.
I've also managed to update the Picture of The Week and Link of The Week. Huzzah!
By the way, you might what to check this out when you get a chance.
