07 | 25 | 07 PILL POPPIN' GOOD UPDATES

I'd like to start off this time around by thanking everyone who has written to me since the last update, and my statement about my current health woes. I really appreciate the support.

Since that last update, I've started physical therapy and have been trying to get my medication figured out. The medication really helps out, but unfortunately, it really knocks me out, so I've been experimenting with when and how often I can take it and still function somewhat normally.

Unfortunately, I've been off it while I'm at work, which has been really stressful lately, and which does nothing to help my back. I just can't seem to win. Either I suffer the entire workday, find a new less-nuts job or stumble through it doped up. Each of those options, believe it or not, has its positive and negative side.

Moving on, I'd like to point out that I have continued to craft my famous daily drawings. Yes, my 4x6x365 '07 series continues to grow, and this past week, I crossed the two hundred drawing mark. For those of you keeping track, I'm only seventy pieces away from one thousand drawings. Hooray! That is a ways off, but until then, please feel free to check out the latest batch starting with this masterpiece.

I've also, like usual, updated the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week, so check them out when you have a free moment.

Finally, I'd like to wish my friends who will be manning (and roboting) the Caveman Robot booth (934) at this year's San Diego Comic Con the best of luck. If you're going to be at the show, please stop by and check it out.

| 18 | 07 YES, I'M ON DRUGS

I've had the occasional back pains over the years. Nothing constant or too disabling, but it has been rough a few times. More and more I've been waking up because of it, the back pain worked like an alarm clock, but after a hot shower and moving around a bit, the worst of the pain and stiffness would be worked out.

This past week, however, was different. The pain was constant, and really bad a few times, but most of the time it was a bit like someone slowly twisting the flesh of my mid-back all the time. Moving was a struggle at times and sitting at the computer all day at work was just plain lousy. I had had enough and an appointment was made to see my doctor.

I was examined and x-rayed, and at first it seemed like it might be something that would go away through healing and physical therapy, but after a weekend spent fuzzy because of pain-killers, I got the final verdict. I have a minor, but permanent curve in my spine. This curve makes my spine a bit like a bad support in a building, it might hold everything up, but being unbalanced, other material (my muscles and discs) have to compensate for it. Strain is put on those other parts and back pain is a result.

The pain can be medicated, but as I need to be awake to work and drive, I've had to cut down on my daily dosage a bit. I will also be going into physical therapy to build up the muscles in my back to compensate for the curve in my spine. It's not the worst news I could have gotten, but the fact that this will be with me forever and will have to be a thing I have to keep up with is kind of a sad thing for me. The realization hit me pretty hard today.

What does this have to do with the weekly updates? Not much. I've been able to keep up with things even with the pain, and at times, being completely zonked out from the drugs. I just wanted to share this with you all for some reason. I'm not sure why, but I've done it.

Things move on, and my 4x6x365 '07 project is no exception. I've kept up with my daily drawings and you can see them, starting with the first one of the new batch here.

I've also updated the Picture of The Week with a still from a recent film project of mine and there is also a hot new Link of The Week.

Well, if you'll excuse me. I've got medication to take, and no one needs to see how bad I type under the influence. They don't tell you about that in after school specials. See you next time around. Take care and stay Nerfect.

| 04 | 07 HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU FOXY COUNTRY YOU

To all the American visitors, I'd like to wish you all a very pleasant Independence Day. Heck, even for all the Unamericans, I'd like to wish you a splendid fourth of July. If you're like me, you have the day off and are spending the time relaxing. I know, I never relax, but with a couple days off, I'm going to look at it as another chance at the weekend and will be trying this "loafing off" thing I've read about.

I've had an interesting time since the last update. After a long, long time buried under too many projects and being over-extended, I've polished a few of my more serious responsibilities, I'm having a couple days off, I spoke to a friend I hadn't heard her voice in over a decade and now it was British, I went to a co-ed baby shower (who knew?) and I've reached a good point with a secret project that is so awesome that it kills me that I cannot officially announce for a while.

In my time off, I've had a chance to finally add the t-shirts I've set up on Bountee.com to the Apparel part of the Garage Sale section of this site. You can click the banner above to visit the Nerfect section of Bountee. I've got shirts with such popularish characters such as Diabolical Hot Dog, Space Cyclops, Hip Hop Hamburger, and Berwyn Bunny in shirts for the sweet ladies, mighty lads and feisty kiddies.

As hard as it was at times, I was able to keep up with the daily drawings in my 4x6x365 '07 series. If you're not too busy dancing around on your star-spangled hot pants with sparklers, why not check the new set out starting with this one of a bunny in cut-offs.

The Link of The Week and Picture of The Week have also been updated, so make sure you save some room for them as well.

Well, if you'll excuse me I've got some independence that needs celebrating. Take care of yourselves. See you next week.
