07 | 30 | 08 > DIDN'T WE JUST DO THIS?

It seems just like the other day I updated doesn't it. It is probably because that is exactly what happened. Well, I wanted to make the attempt to get the weekly updates on Wednesdays rolling again.

I've put a couple new daily drawings from my 4x6x366 '08 project up for your viewing enjoyment. The first of these can be seen here.

The Picture of The Week and Link of The Week have also been updated, so go check them out.

Speaking of pictures, I've posted a portion of the pictures I took down in Oaxaca, Mexico up on Flickr. A while back I would have built a handful of pages to display shots from such a trip here on Nerfect, but with time as precious as it is, and my inability to really weed out the massive group of shots, I've decided to go the Flickr route this time around.

Finally, I wan't to give you all a heads up regarding the next update. Even though I'm really trying to get the updates back up on a regular schedule, I might miss the next update planned for next Wednesday. Rather than leave you folks hanging so long, like the last break, I will try my best to put up another update a bit early, so if you're a Wednesday regular, you'll have new stuff to look at.

Well, that is it for me. I've stayed up quite late preparing this, so I'm off to bed now. Take care.  See you later.

| 28 | 08 > IT'S NICE TO BE BACK

As promised I'm trying my best to get back on track with the weekly updates. The last few have been a bit screwy with the remodeling of our subterranean lair, and I wasn't around to make the last one, this past Wednesday. I had to attend to some business down at the Nerfect offices in Oaxaca, Mexico, and while I was there, Mrs. Walters and I had a bit of a vacation. We slept on an incredibly hard hotel mattress, toured the countryside and brought back way too much folk art.

Well, I'm back in the U.S. of A. and I've updated the site. I'll also do another update on Wednesday, to get the regular rhythm of things back in order. Hopefully in a few weeks the remodeling will be done and things will return to normal.

Speaking of normal, a normal feature of this site is my daily drawing series, 4x6x366 '08, and I've put up a heck of a lot for you to enjoy. The first drawing of the newest set is clearly visible right here.

I've also put up a new Picture of The Week and Link of The Week, so make sure to check them out.

That is it for now. See you Wednesday.

| 20 | 08 > A BRIEF INTERUPTION IN SERVICE

I will be taking a brief break from things next week. The next update, originally scheduled for Wednesday, July 23, will not occur then, but on Monday, July 28. Following that update, the next one will occur on Wednesday, July 30, and unless otherwise noted, weekly updates will be happening on Wednesdays again. I'm sorry for the break in schedule, but things should be back on track very soon.

| 17 | 08 > I'D SURE LIKE MY OLD LIFE BACK

As the days move on, even though work is getting done, progress seems to have slowed to a crawl on the new lair. There are a few things that out really out of our hands holding things up, keeping us from putting stuff away. To be honest, there is also quite a bit of stuff that we're not quite sure where it goes now in the new set-up either.

The problem is that we have to keep moving forward. It is so easy to give yourself a night off on big projects like this. The trick is to keep on schedule afterwards. Often we stumble, loaf off and the next thing you know, it is two weeks later and nothing has been done. You have to keep moving.

Speaking of moving, I've tried my best to keep things up with the site lately. Things are far from normal, but I have managed to keep up with my daily drawings. The series is known as 4x6x366 '08, and the first of the new ones is visible right here.

I've also been able to update the Picture of The Week and Link of The Week pretty easily. You have to appreciate the easy things while you can. Everything else is just a bit harder.

Well, I've got to run. I'm pretty sore and my back hurts just sitting, so I'm going to be unconscious for a few hours. Hopefully I won't wake up to much ahead of the alarm, which has been happening a bit too frequently as of late. Anyway, take care of yourself. Keep it nerfect.

| 11 | 08 > A COUPLE DAYS OFF, BUT WE"RE BACK ON TRACK NOW

Well, here we are. I'm sorry that there was a delay in the weekly updates, but here I am now in order to make up for it. As mentioned in the previous entry, during the current round of renovations here at the home base, I've had to awkwardly set up the computer in a temporary location, and the updates just weren't going to be up on Wednesday. Since then, I've been able to move some paint cans and tools, push some furniture together, and get a few more components of our system hooked up. It's not comfortable and it is a pretty goofy set up, but here we are, updated.

If there is a plus side to a delay like this, it is that you get a couple more daily drawings in my 4x6x366 '08 series to look at this time around. So without further delay, here are the newest drawings starting with this beauty. Hooray!

I've also updated the Picture of The Week and Link of The Week. Not too shabby, huh?

The one thing I've unfortunately had to put off while we remodel the basement studio here at headquarters is adding the newest Diabolical Hot Dog t-shirts up on the site for your ordering pleasure. I just haven't had the time to take some good shots of it and set a page up, but I'm hoping to get that taken care of soon. Until then, I encourage you all to visit Fly Bird in Oark Park, Horrorbles in Berwyn or Broken Cherry in Chicago, which are all cool stores and whom all carry the new shirt.

That is all for now. Unless a wall falls over or something, I'm hoping to have another update on the usual day of Wednesday next week. Check back then for more Nerfectness. Until then I bid you farewell.

| 08 | 08 > COMPLICATIONS

As mentioned last week, we are in the midst of a series of renovations to the lair of Nerfect and that certain problems might arise which would get in the way of how this website usually operates. I'm sad to say that because of these complications the weekly updates will be delayed for a couple days. I've jury rigged the mainframe together in order to draft this little message, but I just can't manage my usual Wednesday update this time around. I'm hoping that I will be able to make things right for all of you on Friday when I can get a more solid, temporary set up for the computer which will allow me to hook up the scanner and to perform other, assorted computer magic. Until Friday, I wish you well.

07
| 02 | 08 > SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED

It's a mess around here at Nerfect headquarters. We are currently in the middle of a series of renovations and upgrades to our facilities here and we've had to adjust to not being at top efficiency and working in a jury-rigged manner in some cases. The end result will be a space which will be more suited to developing and crafting the quality work you expect from Nerfect, but right now, it is just a bit awkward.

What does this mean for you, the intelligent and good-looking Nerfect visitor? We are trying our best to keep the weekly updates coming on a regular schedule, but there might be a few odd weeks here and there where service might be a bit delayed.

Speaking of updates, there is no delay this week. We have all you favorite weekly features updated just for you. Starting, as usual, with Mr. Walters' daily drawing project, 4x6x366 '08. You can see the first of the new septet of pieces here.

The Picture of The Week and Link of The Week are also updated and polished up for your pleasure. Please enjoy them with our compliments.

Thank you for your patronage and patience in the upcoming weeks. Take care of yourself and if you have to keep it anyway, please keep it Nerfect.
