07 | 29 | 09 > THE OL' CON JOB

First off, I have to tell you all that I had a great time out in San Diego for Comic Con International. It has been a few years since I last worked the show, but when my friend, the talented Mr. Wisnia wrote asking for help manning his table, I decided to return to convention floor once again.

Things went really well, I met all sorts of interesting people in and out of the industry, I picked up some interesting reading materials, scored a few funky toys for my collection, and enjoyed being away from the usual order of things. I also appreciated Mr. Wisnia's permission to sell some stickers and button from a corner of the table. I was able to make a bit of lunch money, and it helped quite a bit to get my work out in the world.

You can not only see a growing gallery of images from my time at the show in my Flickr set of them, but I also kept "notes" in a Field Notes book given to me by Christen Carter of Busy Beaver Button Company. I've posted scans from the book up on Flickr as well, so go check them out and test your ability to read my handwriting.

While there were some pretty long hours working Con and hanging out with industry folk after, I do have a whole group of new daily drawings for you all to see. You can see the first of these new 4x6x365 '09 drawings right here.

I've also posted a new Picture of The Week and Link of The Week, so check those out too when you have a chance.

Well, that is pretty much it for now. My schedule has freed up once again, and I should be able to tackle some of my projects again now that I'm all creatively fired up and not committed to any shows for at least the next month. I need to deal with a lot of little things considering all the Nerfect wares, and yes, I'm aiming to get my full range of new t-shirts up here on the website soon.

Remember to keep checking Nerfect.com out periodically, I do update it weekly. Along with the usual updates I do keep you all posted on any shows I've got going or new releases from our commercial arm.

Finally, this week, I'd like to thank Chris Wisnia for inviting me out to the show. Being back in the thick of things has got me all inspired again and I had a fun time, so thanks again. I might just back out next year.

| 22 | 09 > LET'S UPDATE THE WEBSITE SHALL WE?

Well, it's Wednesday once again, and that means it is time for the weekly updates. This week we have a bit of news before the regularly scheduled features. Let's move on, shall we?

Our time at the Coterie show at the Pitchfork Music Festival went really well and we met a lot of great people while we were there. I'd like to thank the festival organizers and the Coterie gang for inviting us out and for giving us the space to vend our wares.

We'd like to thank everyone who stopped by and bought stuff from us. You folks are great, and if you're here looking for those shirts you missed out on, I'm working to get our latest stock up online within the next month, so please keep checking back or drop me a line about ordering a shirt.

I would also like to thank BrokenCherry for printing our popular t-shirts and helping us get our stuff out there every night. If you need custom, printed apparel or need a cool place to shop, please check out BrokenCherry.

I'd also like to thank our pals the Trosts for helping out at the Nerfect table and lug stuff back home. It's good to have good friends around to help make a long day vending a bit more enjoyable.

Last, but not least, I'd like to thank Mrs. Walters for helping me keep everything well organized and moving. She made the whole thing possible and I can't thank her enough.

As I type this, I am mere hours from hoping on a plane to help out Mr. Wisnia at his table at Comic-Con International in San Diego from this Wednesday until Sunday. If you're going to be there, please stop by table K9 in the Small Press Area to say hello. Mr. Wisnia has a wide range of books for sale, and I'm bringing a small sampling of Nerfect stickers and buttons to peddle.

Well, with all that said, let's move onto those weekly features I was talking about.

First off, I'm happy to present the latest set of drawings from my 4x6x365 '09 series. Check out the new batch starting with this masterpiece.

I have also updated the Picture of The Week and Link of The Week. Enjoy them at your leisure.

Well, that's it for now. See you back here next Wednesday. Keep it Nerfect y'all.

| 15 | 09 > PINS, NEEDLES AND UPDATES

There are only a couple days until the Pitchfork Music Festival (July 17-19), and Coterie Chicago, which Nerfect will be a part of. I'm pretty excited to get my work out before a larger crowd, and am very thankful for all my pals who are helping me get there and run the table. You folks rock!

Excited as I am about the near-future, we are here in the present, and it is the perfect time for the weekly updates. What do I have for you all this time around?

As it has been the trend since aught five, I have a new set of daily drawings for you all to look at. This week's additions to 4x6x365 '09 can be seen starting from this quaint scrawling.

I have also posted a new Picture of The Week and a hearty Link of The Week. I hope you enjoy them.

Well, I've got to get back to plotting and scheming. Take it easy and stay Nerfect.

What is new on the ol' website this week?

A new set of drawings in my 4x6x365 '09 series. You can see the first of the new group right here.

I've also updated the Picture of The Week and Link of The Week, so go check those out when you have a moment or two.

Before I sign off, I want to remind you all that Nerfect will be in the Coterie show at the Pitchfork Music Festival July 17-19. If you'll be there (rocking out) please stop by between sets to check out the wares and to say howdy.

I'll also be hanging out at the talented Chris Wisnia's table at Comic Con International July 22-26 in San Diego, California. If you're at the show, stop by and get a free handshake.

| 01 | 09 > MY STATUS IS "UPDATED"

I've been a bit off schedule for a few days now. It happens to me every time I slip into other alternate dimensions, when I return I'm a bit off. I'm really trying to not let it effect my updating of this fine website.

Now talking about updates, let's start of with my 4x6x365 '09 project. Every single day I draw a picture on material that measures four by six inches. Even if I'm in an alternate dimension where Tyne Daly is president and wooly mammoths still room the middle west, I manage to crack out a drawing. Every  week I collect all the drawings I've done since the last Wednesday, scan them electronically and post them up on this very website for your viewing enjoyment. You are more than welcome to see the latest handful of drawings right here.

I've also managed to put up a new Picture of The Week, and I also managed to dig up a new Link of The Week just for you.

By the way, before signing off this week, I'd like to tell you about a couple events that I will be at in the upcoming weeks. The first of which is the Coterie Chicago show at the Pitchfork Music Festival. I'll be there selling t-shirts, stickers, buttons, and assorted other folly July 17-19. If you'll be there, please come have a look between sets.

I'll also be helping out Chris Wisnia's table at this year's Comic Con International July 22-26 in lovely San Diego, California. I'm not sure what I'm bringing, I'm mostly going to lend the talented Mr. Wisnia a hand, but feel free to stop by and say hello or bring us corn chips if you'll be at the Con.

Well, that is it for now, see you next week.
