08 | 30 | 06 > ¿QUE TAL AMIGOS?
I'm just assuming the Nerfect regulars are wondering why the weekly updates are so late in coming. Maybe I'm assuming too much, but the simple reason is that I had to leave the country for a while. It was nothing super serious, just a few days vacation in Guadalajara, Mexico with Mrs. Walters.
We had been planning a trip for months and had our hearts set on going to Oaxaca, but the night before we were set to take off, Mrs. Walters discovered that the city was going through a bit of civil unrest. A protest in support of local teachers had been poorly received by local authorities in the already-troubled region, and violence had broken out. The army was on its way and a lot of the city had been shut down. It just wasn't going to be the relaxing vacation were had planned for.
We scrambled around and got things set up for a trip to Guadalajara, which we really hadn't done much research on, so we weren't sure what to expect. We tend to do a lot of things by the seat of our pants, so we were ready to make the best of it and we had a good time. I won't bore you with all the gruesome details now, and I will try to get some pictures from the trip up here on Nerfect soon.
Now on to the delayed updates. As you can tell from the above banner, a new batch of buttons have arrived in the Nerfect Button Shop. There are four to be exact. A couple new Diabolical Hot Dog buttons, a new version of the classic Berwyn Bunny button, and one sporting the adorable likeness of our loyal pug, Loki.
I have also posted a larger than usual batch of drawings in my 4x6x365 '06 series this time around. There are nine new drawings, the first of which can be seen here.
The Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week have also been updated, so go check them out. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to try to enjoy what is left of my vacation.
08 | 24 | 06 > NOTHING SERIOUS
For reasons that I'll explain Tuesday, August 29, I'll be making my weekly updateÉ Well, Tuesday, August 29. See you then.
08 | 21 | 06 > COPY AND PASTE MAKES ME STUPID
The past week has been an interesting one for me, filled with events out of the ordinary Mrs. Walters was away all week at a bluegrass camp in Oregon. She had a splendid time and the pictures she brought back made me wish I could have tagged along. Oregon, especially on the coast where she was, looks absolutely fantastic.
I was not without my own adventures. I had to go to Kellogg's headquarters in Michigan for business, and it required a bit of juggling to make sure everything that needed to get done was done and that the menagerie we have here in the manor was feed and taken care of. The meeting went well and I have a lot of work to get done to make my next deadline.
That, my friends, is all in the past. Even with all the twists and turns in the week, things moved on fairly normally. Evidence of this can be seen in my latest 4x6x365 '06 drawings. The first of this week's batch can be seen here.
I've also managed to update the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week, so please go check them out. I should probably also mention that new buttons and stickers are on the way, so keep checking back in the next couple weeks for that.
Well, it has been a long week and I really wish I had a couple extra days in this weekend, but that is not meant to be. I'm off to get a few more moments of sleep before starting all over again. Take care my fair friends.
08 | 14 | 06 > DANGED SATURDAY
As of Saturday, two more Chicago shops (nay, institutions) now carry my new comic, Tales of The Danged. You'll now find it on the shelves of Chicago Comics and Quimby's Queer Store, so if you are in Chicago and are one of those people who need to sample the merchandise before buying it, please go check it out.
If you can't make it to Chicago, you can always get Tales of The Danged right here, on this very site. You may not be able to flip through it, but take my word for it, it is a bargain at a cover price of three measly dollars, and it is pretty good stuff.
Enough of these subtle commercial injections, we have other things to do here. Moving on, I'm happy to announce that I've completed yet another week's worth of 4x6x365 '06 drawings. You can see this week's batch for yourself starting with this one.
I've also updated the Picture of The Week, as well as the Link of The Week, so please, make sure to check those features out. You kids totally rock. See you all next week.
08 | 08 | 06 > POBODY'S NERFECT
I had to fix a couple things I forgot to fix in my last update, and I realized I forgot to mention something. For all you fine folks in Chicago, who might spend some of your day in the Loop, you might want to stop by Graham Cracker's Comic Books and pick up Tales of The Danged. Sure, you can still get it here, but if you wanted to flip through the pages and see how it handles, Graham Cracker's would be the place to do it now. More stores in the Chicago area will join the list of Danged stores in the upcoming weeks, and I'll let you know when they do.
08 | 08 | 06 > I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT HAS COME OVER ME
It's hot here. It's pretty much hot everywhere I know, and there is one thing that the summer heat exceeds in, and that is in making you dead tired. I actually just woke out of a temporary heat-induced coma, and I can't say that even that I'm really all that awake. I might tip out at any moment, so I better write quick and get these updates all taken care of.
We start with my 4x6x365 '06 series. Thanks to some early prep work, I have it all updated and ready to roll. You can check out this week's set of images starting with this one.
I've also gotten the Picture of The Week and Link of The Week together for the week. If I had to add anything else this week, I might not be typing this. I would probably have been snoring on the couch.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to let the summer heat tuck me in.
