08 | 29 | 07 LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, CHILDREN OF ALL AGES...
My back is killing me. For most of the week, things have been going pretty well. I went to physical therapy, did my exercises and I was even thinking that I could cut down on the pain medication. Well, that is until a couple hours ago when the ol' monster started to act up again. Just sitting here, typing this is excruciating.
That said, let me quickly tell you about this week's updates, so I can go lay down for a few minutes and see if I can work this trouble out. First off, I'm happy to present another batch of my daily drawings, and the 4x6x365 '07 series continues to grow. Check out the first in the new selection right here.
I've also updated Link of The Week and Picture of The Week, so make sure to check those features out to. Well, If you'll excuse me, I've got to winch and groan a little. See you next time.
08 | 22 | 07 MR. WALTERS IS BACK, AND THIS TIME, HE'S GOT UPDATES!
Hello everyone. I have returned in a little better shape than when I last updated this site. Part of this is due in fact that I took some time to relax and get away from it all. During this break, I traveled with Mrs. Walters up to northwestern Oregon, which was absolutely gorgeous by the way.
My mandolin-playing, sad song-singing wife was attending a series of workshops in the small town of Nehalem, Oregon called Bluegrass on The Beach. She had been last year, and had a great time and brought back some fantastic pictures, so fantastic that I decided to tag along this year. We camped out and while she was in class, I took trips up and down the coast and generally loafed off and enjoyed my freedom.
We also stayed a few nights in Portland, which is a pretty cool place, and we got the chance to hang out with an old college friend and her family. All and all, it was a great trip and just what I needed to get my head back together. I definitely know what I want to be doing with my time in the near future.
Well folks, it seems like I owe you all a couple weeks' worth of updates, so lets get to it. First off, I have a hefty stack of drawings for my 4x6x365 '07 project. The ones from my stay in Oregon will give a bit more information about my stay there, but let's start out with this doozy of a doodle.
I know I've missed a couple weeks of Link of The Week and Picture of The Week, so I've made sure to make up for that while updating today. I hope you enjoy what I've got for you.
Well, thanks for stopping by, and I hope that you swing back around next week. Take care and keep it Nerfect y'all!
08 | 08 | 07 I MAY NOT LOOK LIKE MUCH, BUT I'VE GOT IT WHERE IT COUNTS
Regular visitors to this website and the readers of these little updates, know that I've not been having the most splendid of times lately. Besides the continued troubles with my back and the changing nature of my day job, I've been stretching myself pretty thin lately with stuff. Added all together, and I'm a pretty worn-out fellow. In nerd vernacular, I am far from "mint in the box" these days. In short, I need a break.
In fact, I've been planning a little hiatus for a while now, and have been looking forward to it. I'll be getting away from work and the usual trappings of my day-to-day life. This is not to say that I will not be creating things. I'm actually planning to do a bit of drawing and the like while on my break. Hopefully, I will be able to share more about this when I make my next posting to this fine site.
Speaking of that, you might have guessed by now that there will be a slight delay in the usual levels of service here at Nerfect.com, and ladies and gents, you are right. In a manner of speaking, I will be taking next week off from most of my responsibilities in an attempt to reset myself and get my head in order. Unless, I decide while on this break to hit the rails as a hobo, I am shooting to return to posting Wednesday, August 22.
One of the rare things that I will be continuing on with during this holiday will be my daily drawing series, 4x6x365 '07. It might be difficult after a long stretch at the office to sit down and draw something when all you want to do is crash, but it is something that I enjoy doing. In fact, I do not draw as much as I fell I should. Anyway, that aside, let's get to the latest batch of doodles, starting with this dandy.
I've also updated the Picture of The Week and Link of The Week. Actually, there are two Links of The Week this time around, so please make to enjoy them both. When I return to posting, I will definitely make up for the lost entries in this area.
Well, that is it for now. I know that a lot of this seems strange, but this isn't a bad thing. I just need to loaf off a little bit and recharge. I'm sure all of us have been in similar spots from time to time. Take care of yourself and stay Nerfect.
08 | 01 | 07 THIS IS WHAT IS SOUNDS LIKE WHEN I UPDATE
For those of you just joining us, here is a recap. I'm pretty much worn out from my day job and my back has been killing me. I'm doing physical therapy and have some decent pain-killers, but the stress of work and the fact that the drugs knock me out, keep me from using them during work. The therapy is going well and I feel great after it, but within a couple hours the back is acting up again. In short it has been a rough few weeks for me.
I've managed to keep up with my daily drawing project, the 4x6x365 '07 series, and you can see the first piece in the new set here. It's hard to do some nights, but I seem to squeeze it in somehow every twenty-four hours.
The Picture of The Week and Link of The Week have also been updated for your enjoyment, so please go check them out. Also, if you haven't been digging Ow! My Sweet Eyes! please give it a whirl when you have a chance.
Well, I've got to take some pills and crash out for a stretch. See ya.
