08 | 25 | 10 > SLEEPY UPDATES
As I type this, it is a lot later than I normally like to do these updates. Somehow everything got tangled up and thrown out of whack this week. In other words, I'm exhausted and will keep this short.
Before I get into this week's site updates, I want to mention that I have work in a group show opening THIS Friday. Yes, Friday, August 27, so drop by if you can. There will be a big opening party from 5:30 to 8:30pm at Harper Gallery, which is located at 1915 South Michigan Avenue in Chicago.
Moving on, I'm happy to say that the daily drawings continue and 4x6x365 (MMX) grows and grows. You can see the latest drawings starting with this number here.
I've also updated the Picture of The Week and Link of The Week. Check those features out when you can.
The next show I'm in is the Next Wave Art Salon out in Elgin beginning on Friday, September 10. I'm doing a couple pieces for this show and if any of you out there can swing by and check the show out, that will be awesome.
For the last few weeks, I've been putting drawings and such up on Ebay. I'd like to thank everyone who has been snatching them up. You folks are the best.
Due to my tight schedule, I wasn't able to post more today, but I am planning to put more up next week. There will be a few "fan art" pieces and some of the work I did at Uncle Fun a while back.
Well, I'm pretty tired, so I'm going to climb into my hammock and visit dreamland. I'll type at you next week. Keep being fantastic.
08 | 18 | 10 > WHAT?! YOU HAVEN'T MADE THIS YOUR HOMEPAGE YET?
It seems like I having trouble staying focused long enough to write a good introduction this week. It is kind of late, I've been working all day, I need to shave, and I keep going off topic. It is kind of like I'm doing here.
Anyway, welcome to Nerfect.com. Let me, Mr. Walters, clue you in on what is new and notable on this site and in the world of Mr. Walters.
First up, let me tell you that there are seven new drawings from my daily drawing project to show you. The project is called 4x6x365 (MMX) and the latest drawings can be seen from this point on.
I have also managed to update the Picture of The Week and Link of The Week. Please keep your applause until the end, ladies and gentlemen.
Oh, by the way, if you're in Elgin, Illinois September 10 and 11, make sure to stop by the Next Wave Art Salon and see some art. I will have some work in this group show, so if you're in the hemisphere, please stop by.
By the way, before signing off this week, I'd like to thank all of you out there that have placed orders and bought the drawings I posted on Ebay. I really appreciate the support and I hope you enjoy your Nerfect wares and original Mr. Walters masterpieces.
I should also mention here, that I just put up a few more cheap pieces up on Ebay. If you're trying to build your Mr. Walters collection, now is the time!
That is it for this week's updates my fellow Nerfectoids. Drop by next week for more words, art and such. Later skaters.
08 | 11 | 10 > UPDATES ARE FOREVER
The zucchini crop here at Nerfect HQ has really exploded. Mrs. Walters harvested a five-pounder from the garden a couple days ago and it is about the size of a baby. Bits of it have ended up in every meal we've had lately. I've had zucchini tacos, zucchini pasta, zucchini cake, and it is only a matter of time before I'm sipping on hot mug of zuccoffee.
Besides a garden full of of giant zucchini, there is something else new from us here at Nerfect. The Nerfect Mix-Ups are a series of button sets employing Busy Beaver Company's new one-inch square buttons. You can wear them on their own or mix and match the buttons to create wacky Nerfect characters. Check out the sets ( 1 / 2 / 3 ) and get yours before we run out.
We also have a couple new button designs available on the new square format. Make sure to hit the Nerfect Button Shop, scroll down and check them out.
Buttons aren't the only place that you'll find my characters. My daily drawing series, 4x6x365 (MMX), is chock full of them. Things are getting really busy as of late, but I'm managing the best I can to keep up with this project. You should probably review the latest batch starting from here.
I've also updated the Picture of The Week and Link of The Week. If you like amateur photography and internet-linkery, then these are the features for you.
As promised last week, I have put up another handful of my "fan art" pieces up for sale on Ebay. They are pretty nice and pretty cheap, so if you've ever wanted a piece of original Mr. Walters work, go check it out.
I'd like to take the time here to thank all of you out there who checked out and voted on my t-shirt designs ( 1 / 2 / 3 ) over at the Threadless Loves Comics competition. At the time of this writing, I have no idea how I did, but over seven hundred souls thought enough of the work to make their opinion heard. No matter the outcome, I'm very impressed.
Depending on what happens, I might end up running a couple of those designs off under the Nerfect label. I will keep you all posted.
Next up for me is the Next Wave Art Salon, September 10 and 11 out in Elgin. I'm trying to work out what I'm doing for the show and will have more details as the show draws closer.
Before I sign off, I want to remind you all to go see Paul Wear's paintings over at the Swim Cafe in Chicago, and Shawnimals' Shawn Smith's show, Monster Match over at Oh No! Doom's gallery, which is also in Chicago.
Well, I think that is everything for this time around. Thanks for stopping by. Make it Nerfect... forever.
08 | 04 | 10 > WHAT'S UPDATE?
Greetings all. Welcome once again to Nerfect.com, Mr. Walters' internet junk drawer. I hope you're having a great week, the last few days have presented a lot of new opportunities for me. Over the next few months, I'll have work in a few shows around the country, and I'm working to line up more. It is all very exciting, but it is going to require a bit of time, focus and effort to keep up with all the work I need to generate.
As show dates get closer, I will keep you all posted here and via Facebook and Twitter. I want to make sure if you can, that you can make it out to see the new work.
First off this time around, I need all you Nerfect and Mr. Walters fans out there to lend a hand. I have crafted a trio of designs ( 1 / 2 / 3 ) for the Threadless Loves Comics competition. I'm really happy with the designs, and I need you all to vote on them and spread the word about them. As of this writing, only one has gone live for voting, but check here, maybe the others are up, too.
Next, I've begun to put up some original Mr. Walters artwork up for sale on Ebay. I've started out with a few of my “fan art” pieces, and will be posted a handful at a time over the next few weeks. If it works out for me, I will make this a regular event. The pieces are economically-priced so go check it out.
I also have work up for sale over on Etsy. To my puzzlement, I have a great set of large robot drawings for sale cheap that have been up there for ages. Do me a favor and go check them out to.
Okay, enough commerce, let's talk site updates.
If it is Wednesday, I have posted seven new drawings into my 4x6x365 (MMX) series. You're invited to view the newest drawings starting with this one.
I have also added a new Picture of The Week and Link of The Week. Take a peek at them when you have a moment.
Well, that is it for now, I'll talk at you all next Wednesday.
