09|27|05 HOT DOG! DIABOLICAL HOT DOG!
Hey Nerfect fans, I need your help. You see I made a t-shirt design featuring my Diabolical Hot Dog character and put it up at Threadless. If enough people vote positively for it, Threadless will turn it into an actual t-shirt! I invite you to go check it out and place your vote. I don't want to influence your vote, but so far in less than twenty-four hours it has done pretty well, and folks are leaving some pretty positive comments about it.
I've also added a few new items up for purchase here on Nerfect. Don't wait, go check out some new buttons, a Space Cyclops sticker (die-cut and awesome just like the Berwyn Bunny one!) and something I like to call the Nerfect Buttons and More Fun Pack!
09|26|05 MR. HOLLAND YOU OWE ME 180 MINUTES OF MY LIFE BACK
If anyone runs into Mr. Tom Holland, the teleplay writer and director of the movie version of Stephen King's The Langoliers, please let him know that I need to get back the 180 minutes back that I wasted watching it this weekend. I don't care how he does it. He can give me 180 minutes of his own life or by traveling back in time and telling me not to watch one the least scary horror movies ever made. Does anyone remember this thing being on? I'm thinking it seems like a PAX production... Seriously, I've seen bags of frozen green beans scarier and with better acting than this thing.
Other than that, if you folks would be so kind as to check out the freshest doodles in the 4x6x365 project I'd really appreciate it. The newest ones start right here. You know, while I'm at this, I should also tell you to take a peek at the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week.
09|19|05 DEATH IN THE FAMILY
Sad times. My wife's grandfather, one of my favorite people in world, passed away Wednesday night. I usually don't like to go too deep into my personal life here on the sight, but because of how rough this week was on us, I'm going to keep this short.
Frankly, I detail a few of the week's events in the latest pictures in my 4x6x365 project. Some pretty sad and unbelievable things happened. You can view the first of the latest batch here.
The Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week have also been updated.
09|11|05 YOU KNOW I CAN'T, I WON'T, I DON'T STOP... WEEKLY UPDATES
Whew! What a week. I had some intense, long days at work as we cover for an art director who took off for a couple weeks vacation who works on a seriously demanding client. I hate to think this, but in the back of my head the thought that the guy is not coming back has surfaced. To top it all off my machine at work works about as good as screwing flathead screws into plywood with a smooth river stone. The end result is I totally feel out of it and kind of ill. Sadly, I have another week to go of this before the guy is scheduled to come back... That is if he does.
The weekend could not come any sooner, and now... POOF! It is gone. The varius scraps of paper, notes and to-do lists turn up every where I turn. I finally got into my studio to clean up a bit and handled a few odd jobs, but all the little unfinished things seem to taunt me. I'm just going to have to hang tough and set a reasonable schedule and try to get a couple tasks taken care of every day. Hopefully I can get out of the office before nine this week. In short I really need to get my water closet fudge together.
As hard as it was this past week to get things done, I did manage to keep up with my 4x6x365 project. Sure, I may have had to make up a day here and there, but this week's lot got done by jingo! The first of the latest batch can be seen right here. I have totally passed the 250 mark and to witness the whole group of drawings together is a real treat.
I also managed to shake off the strange, cloudy feelings long enough to update the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week. That is pretty much all I could manage this time around, so I hope you all enjoy my site's humble weekly offerings.
By the way, I'm really sorry that this posting is kind of a let down... Okay, in fact, I'm sorry that a lot of these have been real downers. You crazy kids deserve better. I'm really not this "Robert Smith" all the time. If I can get some sleep and get some of my small tasks taken care of I should be in loads better shape and spirits. Keep your fingers crossed.
09|05|05 LET'S KEEP THIS SHORT SHALL WE
I'm going to skp my usual atempts to "humor up" this notice this time time around, and will get right down to business. Well, that is after a brief request. I'm not going to get too deep into it, but we all know what has been going down on the gulf coast and New Orleans. The plain and simple fact is that these people need our help and we need to be the good neighbors that we think we are. Give what you can to the American Red Cross. With that out there, we can continue.
No new week would be complete without an addition of drawings to my 4x6x365 project. The first of the new batch can be seen here.
You'll find that the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week have also been updated. Yipee!
