10|31|05 HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I stand behind the following statement 100% - Halloween is the best holiday ever! No other holiday even comes close to being as great as Halloween. Candy and monsters, nothing beats that! Again, Happy Halloween everyone from your pals at Nerfect!
This week's updated treats include a new set of drawings for Mr. Walters' 4x6x365 project. The series broke the 300 mark this week and we are coming into the final stretch for this year-long project. Scope out the new batch, starting with this one.
The Bottle Cap Portraits section has also been updated. check out a couple new caps here.
If that wasn't enough Nerfect goodness for you, the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week have also been updated. If you want more than that then you'll just have to wait until next week.
10|24|05 YOU KNOW EVERYTHING I HAVE TO UPDATE I UPDATE FUNKY
Supposedly I'm a creative fellow, but as I come to put a little "hot cha cha" onto this week's update details I find myself falling short. I've tried to write this about six different ways and each time it comes up a big pile of garbage. Let's see what do I usually do here?
Well, sometimes I comment on recent personal events, so let's try that. This weekend I finally got a chance to watch Garden State, and I went to a warehouse club. If yu haven't seen Garden State go pick it up. It is one of the better films I've seen in ages, but kind of lost me with it's Hollywood ending. As for warehouse clubs I'll just say this... You shouldn't be able to buy a ham and a canoe in the same place.
Now with that over, let's move onto my 4x6x365 project. I have once again been able to get a drawing a day done and have put them up for your viewing "pleasure." You can see the latest ones starting with this one here. For all of you keeping score, we'll be passing the 300 mark.
What's next? Oh yeah! I've also managed to updated the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week. Woah! Did you fall out of your chair? No. Oh. My mistake. See you next time.
10|17|05 I JUST FINISHED UPDATING THE SITE AND BOY ARE MY ARMS TIRED
Let's see. What is new? Oh yeah! For starters we have four new buttons in the Button Shop. You can choose from Berwyn Bunny's skull (so rock 'n' roll), Diabolical Hot Dog (so, uh, diabolical), Lucha Bear (so cute it hurts), and a striped Space Cyclops (so interstellar.) If you haven't been to the Button Shop yet, what are you waiting for? Go now! These "words" will still be here when you get back.
I've also added five new pieces to the Bottle Cap Portraits section. I know that I last updated this section back in the Mezozoic period, but I recently found myself doodling on the the caps from various juices and sodas again. You can see the latest five here.
Talking (or rather "typing") about drawing, not a week goes by without Mr.Walters updating his 4x6x365 project and this week is no different. The newest seven start with this one, so go dig it won't you?
Finally, to prove once again that I am an updating dynamo I have updated the classic Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week. You don't get that from just any website do you?
10|10|05 UPDATES... YOU'RE SOAKING IN THEM!
Last week was a real mixed bag. Mostly hard and frustrating, but with the occassional pleasant surprise mixed in. At work, we have been pretty busy and I've logged in some nutty hours and have eaten some horrible meals. Of course, now that I don't have much free time, this is when all the cool potential freelance projects come in. It is so strange to have to turn down this side work. A couple years ago when I was 100% freelance, I would have loved to have this work.
In other Nerfect / Mr. Walters news, the voting over at Threadless for my Diabolical Hot Dog t-shirt design is officially over. Again, I'd like to thank all of you who voted for it and left such positive feedback for it. I am really quite pleased (and surprised frankly) in how that all went. Thanks again everyone... You all rock! Consider yourselves lifetime members of the Nerfect crew!
Even though I was busy this week, I did manage to keep up with the drawings for the 4x6x365 project, and have updated that section of this site. The latest group of scrawlings begin here. I am closing in on the three-hundredth one, and can begin to see the end of the set. I have had to do some serious thinking about if I will continue the drawing-a-day project (4x6x365 2: The Legend of Mr. Walters' Gold) or do something different.
I've also managed to update the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week. I don't know why I always make these things out to be tricky operations. I'm always taking pictures (granted, this week most of my time to do so has been after the sun has dropped) and the internet has become a part of my daily life. I guess I'm just always surprised that I can put everything together week to week.
10|03|05 IT'S DIABOLICAL HOT DOG'S WORLD WE ARE JUST LIVING IN IT!
Okay folks, if you were waiting the absolute last minute to log in your vote for my Diabolical Hot Dog t-shirt design over on Threadless then that moment has come. Voting ends today! I'm pleasantly surprised because the design has been getting a great response. I'd like to thank all of you who voted, you kids rock! Regardless what happens with Threadless, Diabolical Hot Dog will probably end up on a few fine Nerfect products in the near future.
If we count that as the high point of the week, then most of the rest has been just lousy. My day gig has been a real bear the last few weeks, and unfortunately it is going to be rough the next couple weeks to come. Crazy workloads, long nights and a machine that has been pure junk the last few months mix together for a pretty nasty cocktail. It makes me really nostalgic for past gigs where I had more than a day to do a package or catalog. Worst of all, it is really cutting into my personal projects.
I have managed somehow to keep up my 4x6x365 project, scrawling things down on the train or after getting home late. The first of this week's batch can be seen here. Taking the time to sit down, get quiet and do these drawings has really helped in these weeks.
I've also managed to update the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week. Granted, this has been hard because I haven't had a lot of time to take pictures or surf the internet this past week.
