11|29|04 YO G, CHECK IT

Had a long weekend. Tried to be productive, but mostly slacked off. Had some good ideas for artwork and comics that I want to expand on. While I'm in deep thought, spy the latest PICTURE OF THE WEEK.

11|24|04 I'M BEAT

I'm still recovering from this past weekend. Mr. Bell came in from Brooklyn to set up his show at Suitable, attend the Caveman Robot book-signing at Quimby's, give a couple lectures, and to just hang out with us Walters kinder. I'd like to personally thank all those who came out and showed their support. It was a good time, but it was a heck of a lot crammed into one weekend.

As if I could ever stop drinking soda... There are more BOTTLE CAP PORTRAITS. I've also updated the PICTURE OF THE WEEK, so go peep it.

11|15|04 YOU'RE SO INVITED IT ISN'T EVEN FUNNY

I'd like to open this week by wishing friends, Andie and Carlos all the best, as they got married Sunday afternoon. Congratulations and all that folks! Actually it was one of the best weddings I've ever been to. They had the service at the Lincoln Park Conservatory, and a reception at The Metro. A good time was had, I ran into some old friends, great music, tasty num nums, and Igot to meet David "The Rock" Nelson!

In other news, friend and artist extraordinaire, Jason Robert Bell is coming to town not only for the Caveman Robot Mega Annual signing at Quimby's (Saturday, November 20 at 4pm), but also for a show at Suitable. There is an opening Friday, November 19 from 7-11pm, and Suitable is located in back of 2541 W. Thomas in Chicago. Mr. Bell is showing off two massive drawings (they total 54 feet in length) from his Kala series, which depict a female sasquatch (Kala) as she defends herself and the primordial forrest from hunters. If you'll be in Chicago, why not come check out these two great events? You're so totally invited it isn't even funny.

Now, I know what you are asking yourself. Is there a new PICTURE OF THE WEEK? Let me just say it this way, yes there is.

11|09|04 PASS IT ON... SERIOUSLY!

Mark your calendars people and help us spread the word! There is going to be a Caveman Robot Mega Annual signing event at Quimby's here in Chicago, Saturday, November 20. Sure, I'll be there as well as another artist in the book, Shoshanna Weinberger, but the BIG news is that Caveman Robot will be there, live and in robot! You haven't lived until you've met a seven-foot-tall mechanical caveman. Come by and meet Cavey, have your picture taken with the guy, and buy a book... It is totally awesome if I may say so. You can find out more about the event at the Quimby's website. The follies start at 4pm, and you'll find Quimby's at 1854 W. North Ave. in Chicago.

11|08|04 I'M NOT WITH STUPID

There is no other way to say it... I'm pissed. I originally was going to write about the election last week, but realized that there isn't really much I can add to the discussion that hasn't been said before. The country I love is broken and without intelligent leadership for another four years.

Again, there isn't much I can do about all this election garbage, but I have updated this website. I've posted a new PICTURE OF THE WEEK, and a handful of new BOTTLE CAP PORTRAITS.

11|01|04 BACK TO THE DRAG THAT IS EVERYDAY LIFE

Had a fab Halloween! Mrs. Walters and I hosted a haunted hootenanny, which my brother, Mr. Walters, came up for as well as a good visit. Ate well, hung out with friends, saw Napoleon Dynamite again, went to the aquarium, and generally had a great weekend.

Now, back to regular life, and what a drag it has been. With the time change, all-day and night rain, my brother back in his home state, and the creeping influence of the "holiday season" rearing its hideously deformed head, I can't help, but feel a bit low. It also doesn't help that there might be a possibility of ol' turd for brains might hold on to his job. I can't express how much I dread that outcome.

I have updated the PICTURE OF THE WEEK, and as warned, removed the Halloween typographic treat, Fiend - Snack Size. I tried to get some publicity for it, but, alas, I couldn't stir up much traffic to come check it out. Fiend will return from the land of the lost eventually, as a complete font.
