12|24|05 I KNOW IT IS CHRISTMAS EVE, BUT WHY DON'T YOU OPEN YOUR UPDATES NOW?

Sorry about the lame headline, but I couldn't resist... Especially since it is kind of true. Yes, I am doing the weekly updates a few days earlier than usual, but look at the calander. We're all going to be busy the next couple days like it or not, and I wanted to make sure to keep as much of a regular schedule during this period as I could. By the way speaking of calanders, they make great gifts.

As this year comes to a close, so does the first series of my 4x6x365 project. I will most likely continue on creating a piece of work a day and cataloging them in aught six, but I'm still ironing out the details. Will I use the same name for the work or come up with something new? Will I use a slightly larger or smaller format? Will I have theme weeks or wacky hat days? It is still up in the air for me now. All I know is that you can see the latest batch starting with this one.

You'll also find the fresh Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week have been updated as well. It just makes you all warm inside doesn't it?


12|19|05 IS IT JUST ME OR IS IT DIABOLICAL IN HERE?

Huzzah! The super fab new Diabolical Hot Dog stickers came in Saturday! Yes, the star of his very own t-shirt over at Threadless.com and a button here at Nerfect now graces a pretty sweet die-cut sticker. Like most of our other die-cut stickers, you can get two for just one measley dollar! If that wasn't enough excitement for the week, this year's artistic experiment is coming to a close. Yes, the 4x6x365 project is coming to the end of the line so to speak. In a couple weeks I will have completed 365 daily drawings on 4" x 6" pieces of paper.It has been a crazy ride and I have generated a lot of good work and great ideas, but the show isn't over yet. Now, what week would be complete with a viewing of the Picture of The Week and the Nerfect version of a field trip, the Link of The Week? Answer, a lousy week, so make sure to check out everything.

As I've been typing this I've noticed a few things on my calander in the next couple weeks. To be honest with you, they might get in the way of the usual, weekly update next Monday, but I will try my best to bring in the ol' updates somewhat around the right time. This might mean a series of updates throughout the next couple of weeks. Frankly, I haven't figured it out yet. How is that for nerfect? 12|12|05 I'M AS OFF AS THREE YEAR OLD CHINESE FOOD

My body has a lousy sense of humor. For example, I rarely get sick, but when I do it is really bad. I'm talking space virus bad. The problem always is that I routinely get sick just as I've got time off for a holiday or in the most recent case, as I entered the weekend. I've been "off" all weekend. Warm, achey, and to my wife's great delight, ill-tempered.

There wasn't much of the usual folly like coughing or barfing, but there is enough discomfort to tell me that the real bad stuff will be here just in time for my holiday break. There will probably be a real unpleasant build up over the next few days until total system failure. I'm not looking forward to it.

Regardless of how I felt this weekend, I did manage to get the updates taken care of. Yeah, I'm a real trooper. Well, seeing as I probably should be in bed right now, I'm going to try to make this short... That is short and sweet.

Besides the upcoming Hack-Con 2005, this last week was pretty rough on me, but I did manage through various tricks and schemes to complete my daily 4x6x365 drawings. Check out the latest batch starting with this one.

I also kept it together long enough to update the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week.

12|05|05 JACK FROST IS KICKIN' MY REAR END!

It's cold. I don't care so much for the cold... I'm also not to crazy about snow, but I guess this goes with the territory when you live in the Chicago area. The problem now is that here in the midwest, we can look forward to this kind of weather well into "spring." Well, enough with the weather report, here is what else is new at Nerfect HQ this week.

As you can see from the above image, there are a couple new buttons up for purchase in the Nerfect Button Shop. You have the ever-popular Rockin' Robot which first appeared in a painting here, and the historically weird Cyclops Lincoln which comes out of the fine Crap*Magnet font family. Both are fashion must-haves for the season and will make you the coolest kid in and/or out of school.

Tick tick tock and I don't stop... Making 4x6x365 drawings that is! (Insert groan here.) Yes kids, Mr. Walters has done it again! I've continued drawing an image a day for the 4x6x365 project and the excitement is building as we close in on the final weeks of this series and this year... Well, maybe it is just me. Anyway, you can review this week's entries starting here.

I've also managed to update the Picture of The Week and the Link of The Week. Okay, so maybe that is not such a huge thing, but it keeps me off the streets.

Before I leave you this week, I thought I'd update you on the t-shirt design I did for Threadless. No one is more stunned than me at how this thing has gone. I thought I had done pretty well when I showed up to pick up my unsold items, but was shocked to find a bag full of my toys under a table. Kind of a let down... Actually, kind of a real big let down.
